Busy season? Rent a unit when you need it and send it back when you don’t – now that’s smart – that’s Rent Radon!
Rent Radon uses continuous radon monitoring (CRM) detector units from SunRadon – specifically the 1028xp units for accurate radon testing so you and your clients will never have to question results. When it comes to calibration time, we will ship you a new unit in advance to replace – that’s Rent Radon!
How much is the monthly rental?
Each unit rents for $110/Month and includes the Environmental Module.
What does the upgraded Environmental Module do?
With this upgrade, the unit will have Temperature, Humidity and Pressure Sensors that measure and record values during the Radon test. These results are fully integrated with the OneRADON desktop and Mobile Software.
What is included in the rental?
Rental includes, Monitor, Environmental Module, protective carrying case, power cable, and 50 inch tripod, phone app, desktop app.
Is there a long term contract required?
The initial rental period is 90 days. After the initial 90 day rental period, the units are rented on a month-by-month basis.
What if I want to return a unit that is no longer needed?
30 days notice is required when returning a rental unit. Rental fees are due until the unit is received by RentRadon LLC.
Do I have to sign an agreement?
A signed Rental Agreement is required for all rentals.
Are there other charges?
Initial payment includes first month rent and a $55/unit shipping fee. First payment is due when the agreement is signed. Subsequent payments will be due on the first day of each monthly rental period. Customer pays shipping and handling fees for returning units at end of rental period.
How do I pay the monthly rental fee?
Payment can be made by Credit Card (3% transaction fee applies).
What if a unit is lost, stolen or damaged?
The customer is responsible for loss or damage to a rental unit. The Rental Agreement will have more detailed information regarding the terms and conditions.
What if a unit quits working?
While unusual, if a unit ever has a maintenance issue, contact us and we will have a replacement unit shipped by ground freight. Return shipping of the unit needing maintenance is customer’s responsibility. The replacement unit will be shipped within 24 hours after you contact us Monday-Friday. Expedited shipping offered at customer expense. You use the same packaging from the replacement unit to return the unit requiring maintenance. We will take care of all of the necessary paper work and will include a pre printed shipping label. (Cost of label billed to customer). If it is determined the unit has malfunctioned due to damage or misuse, repair or replacement costs are the responsibility of the Customer.
How do the units get annual calibration completed?
It is important and required by standards to keep the units calibrated annually. Approximately 7-14 days prior to a unit’s calibration date, you will receive a replacement unit. RentRadon covers all costs associated to the calibration service. You will use the packaging from the replacement unit for return of the unit needing calibration (shipping paid by RentRadon in this instance).
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, for 12 month contracts, and with each month paid on time, we will give you an additional month for free.
What if I need help operating the unit or generating a report?
The units and software are very easy to operate, with complete instructions along with the shipment and also available online. Plus, you can call or email us and we’ll be happy to help!
How many units should I rent if I’m starting to offer radon testing?
We recommend 2 – 3 units to start. Why? Each unit needs to be in place for at least 48 hours. Therefore if you have more than one inspection request within 48 hours, you don’t want to say you are unable to provide that service if you have only one unit that is in use.
How fast will I receive my units?
Our standard delivery is via UPS or USPS Ground, and this will depend on where you live in the country. If you need them faster, we can arrange for the additional shipping fees. We can’t be responsible for any delays from shipping company, weather, etc.
